Comment:

The inspiration for this mix came from the drive up to my dad's house with my brother...he really likes all these bands and sometimes, well most of the time, I'm just not up to listening to all the screaming that most of these bands' songs consist of. These are more pretty kind of songs from bands that tend to present themselves as scary or hard. The general idea here though is being able to hear the pain in their voice, which is something I love and something all these songs have. So that's where the title, which happens to be a Tim McGraw song, comes in.
Little notes on the songs: I included Tool's "Sober" because, even though it's a little hard, it's very emotional and not as screamy as it could be. I started the cd off with it because then you can ease into the rest of the cd and not have this hard song in the middle. The Johnny Cash version of hurt is on there, instead of the original NIN one, because for some reason it just sounds like he means it more. Evanescence gets on here, despite the fact that they have a female singing, because the song fits the criteria, besides the men part, and it's really powerful and haunting. Strata is a local band that apparently is starting to work their way up to being known. I think I'm done with the mix now, but it seems like there are probably more of these type of songs that I'm missing so please give me suggestions if you have them :) Enjoy!

you should try to get the song "Haloed Eyes" by Navio Forge...the singer actually breaks down crying in the middle as he's singing

if that's not your thing, Korn has a song called "Daddy" where their singer cries towards the end
