Comment:

My first real attempt at a "good" mix, and I wish I had more preparation: this is for my girl who has stopped talking to me. Not really intended as a "let's get back together" mix, but more of a "How am I to understand?" crossed with a "something to remember me by" mix. She's not a big fan of the harder stuff, sticking mainly to folk and that type of stuff, so I tried to strike a compromise with my tastes--except for the X to Replacements punk-type set at the heart of Side I, which (hopefully) gives it enough energy to get through the Wilco track. The A3 track is supposed to stand out; to remove any catharsis that might have set in and leave on a good mood. Hopefully. (Title comes from a line in the Leonard Cohen song.)
