Comment:

this cd [even though it's categorized as a tape. so my note at the end explainign why i did this] is pretty much the soundtrack to me and my ex's relationship [in almosy chronological order], broken down into the good and bad things we went through. all the songs have a meaning.

GOOD:
1] our first kiss was in a photobooth
2] she said it reminded her of me
3] "our song"
4] SEX
5] we saw them live and were AMAZED
6] saw them live, too. the best concert both of us have even been to. period.
7] "monkey" was my nickname for her. and the lyrics reminded me of her "your love, you know it tastes so sweet, like cold coconut ice cream... "
8] NJpride 2003

EVIL:
1] "you're so great and i'm so bored" pretty much explained how i was feeling towards the end of us going out. she was an AMAZING girl, i just couldn't figure out why i didnt like her the same way anymore
2] the explaination involves a long story about me cheating on her, which i don't care to explain
3] the song title represents my self-destructive personality; how i hate people getting close to me, so i try and drive them away
4] the lyrics "you can tell yourself yr the one who tried. you can tell yr friends how many times i made you cry. you can tell anyone you want. but if yr gonna talk about i deserve what you did, you can look now coz i'm gone...i'm gone" represents our breakup and all the stupid drama that unfolded involving our friends, etc.
5] this song shouldn't even bee in this category of "evil". it's more like an afterthought. something about this song makes me really sad and i can't put my finger on it. also these lyrics remind me of our relationship a lot "You came clearer than ever before. You did what no one else can. Just never follow up when I'm awake. Because I'd hurt you. You'd hurt me too. // You are a dream. This is the longest time I've been with someone. There's no explaining, no escaping... // Did you know you missed the point of dreaming, When you said you needed more and more, You ended up with less"

ps: yeah, i know it's a cd, but i put it as 2 sides, to show the diffence between the songs on the "good" section and the songs on the "evil" section.

pps: her reaction to the cd was "i'm amazed. the cd, it's perfect. everything fits."

extensive. i love it. clem snide also have a mostly instrumental track called good vs. evil that might have fit really well. it's worth looking up.
