This came into my head last night. I put it together based mostly on the Low songs, that particular Mojave 3 song, the Mum song, and the mere notion of Portishead. It came together. This mix - I've been listening to it all day, and it's been... rich.--.-- I definitely have a big notion about some sort of urgency behind this mix, but I don't know what it is. A lot of the songs are extremely extremely downtempo. It slowly gets in my bones that way. ... Then I ended with a really intense Sigur Ros song that's apparently from their first album. It's very much in a techno-y sense-ish made. THAT stuff is why they should be compared to Radiohead; I hadn't ever really gotten that before. Sigur Ros has peace and not grinding in their cores though. That's why I'm in love with their sounds. heh. grindcore.
