Comment:
This is a collection of classic and contemporary country with a little bit of folk, bluegrass, and country-tinged rock that I've given to my friends who say they don't like country, to try to get them to re-think their wack ways. I love to listen to it, too. Fits on one 80-min disc. (Each artist appears only once, except The Man In Black, because he kicks ass like that.)Feedback:
Always nice to see a new country mix here. And, yeah, Johnny Cash does kick ass like that.
No Alan Jackson? No Reba? No Alison Krauss? I'm sure someone will have the sense to bitch about the lack of Shania Twain, but 1 won't hear such complaints from me. Shania Twain... fuck. Anyways, not a bad mix, but you're missing a few of my favourites. + though I have admitted favourites, I still stand by the belief that I am NOT a country fan. Out.
yes, go johnny go.
Excellent series. I especially like the latter discs, where you put on some Cross Canadian Ragweed and Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash - that stuff is 10 times better than anything from Tim McGraw. Excellent work!
Thanks! :D Yeah, CCR and BSoJC rock mad socks. I just heard the Bastards' for the first time a few weeks ago, actually. Great stuff. But I've got pretty wide tastes, so "new country" does it for me, too.
