Comment:

I made this tape for a friend of mine, who has just broke up with her boy-friend and she is pretty sad right now. Now I would actually like to take his place, because she's pretty sweet. Well, I hope that my ambition is reflected in the tracklist. It took me a few hours to get this straight, but I think it fits the situation well.

well i think you might be coming on a little strongly with this if she just broke up with her boyfriend. of course i don't really know what the situation is. pretty nice mix, though

many good tracks on here but tocotronic kills 'em all + what soiledteenagegirlfriend said.

She'll like this, I think. What the hell do I know about chicks? Nothing, that's what. I think "Nothingman" is the unsung hero of the Pearl jam repetoire, + would've been more effective here. But hey, I'm a sucker for that song. The Elvis song is WAY too obvious- if she's looking for significance, that just might freak her out. Solid mix, all around. Out.

"33" has long been one of my very favorite SP songs, 'specially for the line '...tomorrow's just an excuse away...'

Hope she likes it.
Cheers!

ok, i'm a little bit pumped or nervous or whatever (english is not my native language and especially not right now, where i'm focused on other things, so sorry). she (yeah, SHE!) visited me this evening and i gave her the tape, and she wanted to listen to it right away, so i put it in my stereo and we lay on my bed and during SONGBIRD we just suddenly kissed. Which was just..fucking GREAT, i can tell you! i'm still, well, enchanted or whatever. so, thanks to oasis and the magic power of mixtapes. i don't know if it was the music or just me, or just a mix of both, but she really seems to like me, which is just a incredible feeling. wow, i'm extremely in love right now, i'm going to see her again tomorrow evening, so i'll see what happens. for now, i will be listening to songbird until i see her again. aaaaaah, i'm in love....and thanks for the feedback, i'm glad that some other people like my mix. @dru: originally, i wanted to include nothingman (my favourite pearl jam-song, by the way), but better man just seemed to fit better, as i'm trying TO BE the better man ;) @AlmostFamous: yeah, i think that thirty-three is probably the lyrically "deepest" song the pumpkins had ever recorded. besides "mayonaise" it's my favourite pumpkins-tune.

here i am again, i just can't stop thinking of her and listening to oasis. we kissed during the "a man can never dream these kind of things...!-line. i'm just listening to ,heathen chemistry', which is actually just an awful album, but at the moment i'm in love with everything that comes along my way. i love u all!
