Comment:

cuz everyone's gotta have a covers mix, right? well, these are some of my favourite covers of all time. yes, all time, even though most are from the last 5 years. i've cut tons and tons off this already, and i can't bear to cut any more, even though it's running at 1:39:24... my brain's telling me to cut yo la tengo, low and the dismemberment plan (cuz those the over-six-minute tunes) but they're way too good. i cannot do it. so the mix will stay as this, and hopefully someday they will make 100 minute cdrs.

I'd love to trade my covers mix for your covers mix. There's only the one duplicate on mine (Mayer's Kid A), though I'm sure you have more where this came from. Let me know, though! Great stuff!

i completely agree with electro-k. ah, but i'm not john mayer fan, i think i'll have to give his cover a listen sometime. but the rest is top notch.

moz, I don't like Mayer either, but I heard the cover long before I ever heard one of his own songs. I was disappointed, but the song still has the same effect for me. Also, let me just state for the record that Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah is 2.6294 million times better than Rufus' cover. I love Rufus, but you can't beat Buckley's.
