i call this mix "shit i liked alot in highschool" and some of it a little after. the post hardcore scene has always ridden that very narrow line seperating punk and metal. some of these bands are almost *gasp* nu-metal. anyway this is the second in a series i'm making called I Love The 90's.

Yeah, I like a lot of these bands quite a bit. And despite the fact that I am invariably put off by anything metal (nu or old), I do think that you have a point. Still, I love Fugazi while strongly disliking the Deftones, so it may be harder for me to admit.

you were one with it highschooler.. luckily in high school I discovered Husker Du who saved me from my metal hell. very nice mix.. I didn't lean as much towards the Dischord stuff, but they did have a lot of cool bands. I was more of an AmRep/T&G/Skin Graft fella.. but this mix kills.
Nothing wrong with the Deftones either, though it took me a few years to come around..
