My friend and co-writer Boone is getting married on Saturday. So, he had me help him create a mix of songs for the DJ to play at the reception... not a lot of concentration on the order of songs, since the DJ will probably only play them intermittently. Most of these songs were chosen by Boone, although I had a few ideas that I threw on, like "The Shining" and "Question." The first two songs are the one's that Boone and his wife(ahem)-to-be will dance to. By the way, can anyone spot the scandalous lyric hidden in one of the songs? I told Boone that he's tempting fate...Feedback:
Don't know about scandalous but, Party Girl hardly seems like an appropriate wedding song - of course, it's an amazing tune. The whole mix looks great, actually.
this is lovely. i'd love to have something like this at my wedding. don't know how easy it is to dance to "i'm in love..." but its an amazing song, so im sure it'll work!
depends on what you call scandalous...since this is a wedding mix, and you have the john casablancas of the strokes singing, "alone we stay and together we fall apart.." and all that, that could be it, or it could be state i am in..with the gay brother's announcement at the wedding and the "child bride" so, i don't really know.
this is cool, good to know that the shins, grandaddy and belle and sebastian are going to be enjoyed and danced to, nice one
The scandalous lyric would be found on the Long Winters song Cinnamon where the narrator says... St. Paul was there to marry us/But we lied, we're already married... The two who were recently wed probably eloped and this was the cover up family wedding. Of course... Who am I to say? : )

I only KIND OF liked this mix until I saw that Old 97's song. SOOOO GOOD.
