Comment:

i've been wanting to make a mix like this one for quite a while... and as the title says i have ceased to resist... tis full of music which i guess follows some sort of theme... i bookended with the velvet underground and interpol because i felt that they sum up both ends of this sort of sound... the velvet underground obviously influential on a few (hopefully most) of the artists here and usefully interpol calling (in my opinion) their best song "the new"... so from the old to the new... how things haven't really changed...

this is a dynamite mix, except, of course, for the inclusion of "blue monday 88" instead of the original.

unfortunately and, might i say, rather shamefully i own only the 88 version :(

actually, to be honest i kinda prefer the 88 version... it's the version i remember best...
