Comment:

This is the first cd in a 10 Volume Set. Next week I am taking a 12 hour road trip with my mother. I wanted to make some cds that we would both enjoy, because our musical tastes are almost polar opposites. She listens exclusively to country western and gospel music while I mostly like indie rock. I decided that classic pop and rock from the 60s and 70s would be a really safe bet. These are the songs of her childhood and teen years while I like most of them too. I tried choose recognizable radio hits so my mom would be familiar with them.

Love that CSNY song! I remember hearing it very loud in a big movie theater when I saw the film Woodstock... something so cool and chilling about the simple organ intro. The Stephanie Mills made me go, "Huh?", but otherwise a cool retro mix.
