Comment:

A double-cassette compilation juxtaposing the Monkees and the Velvet Underground. The fact that I gave the Pre-fabs 3x as much credit here as the VU may say a number of things about my tastes, but that may be subject to interpretation. 'Artistic ambitions' aside, they were both entertaining pop bands at their best, and isn't that what's really important?

"But Andy, that's not a folk spiritual."
"No, but it's damn fine entertainment!"
