Comment:
i definitely owe the recipient a mix tape, by now, so i tried to make it as perfect as possible. the transitions on the first side are great, i think--a lot of the songs move into one another just the right way: you can tell it's a new song, but it sounds like it's built right onto the previous one. the second side is lacking, a little bit, but i still really liked it. i wanted to put a sonic youth song on the b-side to close--"nyc ghosts & flowers"--but it's eight minutes long, so that'd make the sides really really uneven. there are louder moments on the second side (e.g., pixies, pedro the lion, displan) but it's really, for the most part, the quieter side. all i know is i hope she likes it!Feedback:
well *i* like it. did you hear about 3 of the members of the exploding hearts dying in a car crash? it really makes me sad
poor exploding hearts...
Cool points for "Beyond Belief"... quite a nice pick.
I like this. Seems very melancholy and bittersweet.
