I wasn't going to post this one but after my Instrumental Genesis mix, I actually had some requests made for a Steve Hackett mix. I obviously focused on more of his proggy sort of instrumental type stuff (with a exception to the three-set following 'Blood On The Rooftops')Feedback:
So do you recommend any of Steve's later albums? The only things I have postdating his two instrumental classical guitar albums are A Midsummer Night's Dream and the album of Genesis remakes, and I'm a little leery of the rest since I've never been especially fond of his singing voice, love his songwriting though I do.
Wow! Glad that you made this! I've listened to "Please don't touch" and "Voyage of the Acolyte" a good bit lately. I expect that some SH will turn up on a mix soon. Really amazing guitarist, to say the least. One of the first players I really listened to, and then realized that (since I would never play that way) I should probably turn my attention to punk and garage rock instead.
