Comment:
Done for the hell of it. Not much to say about it, other than some of the odder transitions here (most notably Radiohead to Little Richard) work much better than you think they would. Thanks to Sean for the Seeds, Jen for Lloyd Cole, and Rich for Black Box Recorder.Feedback:
looks good as usual man, love the Polyphonic Spree
I was wondering about the Radiohead to Little Richard business. I love the crazy transitions that somehow work. This is pretty fine, top to bottom.
Looks wonder-full!
That Seeds song is great, have you heard the live version? They got cancelled from the Wilderbeat bill this year, kind of a drag but apparently Sky Saxon is the only original member.
Looks fine to these tired eyes. Don't see much Happy Mondays on mixes anymore.
Great stuff, Rob. Always good to see a mixed genre entry from you, my friend.
Thanks, all. And I appreciate that, Shawn, as I agree that mixed-genre discs are much more fun to make (and, in most ways, to listen to).
great stuff, Rob. Couldn't complain about any of the pix I recognise on here. Especially like Little richard and the Jimi Classic slab of psych.
hey, really cool selections here... esp. the happy mondays, sy, radiohead (of course), hagerty, and mercury rev (!)...
Fantastic collection of songs.
Musta missed this one. Love the Hotrods, Hendrix & Seeds. Found this while searching to see if anyone with similar taste has used Polyphonic Spree. Gimme the informed Conroy opinion - Pet Sounds or Come Sail Away?
Pet Sounds... or maybe more Friends. heh I absolutely *love* that Polyphonic Spree disc.
