Comment:

A recent refinition of an old mix celebrating the Bluegrass tunes I grew up with near West Virginia.

Possibly to use in an upcoming issue of JUMP SHIP.

I did violate two of my mixing rules: i used two versions of the same song and four songs by the same two artists.

Suggestions welcome.

"Decil went down to Georgia" is the perfect song for this mix! I unfortunately don't know who it's by off the top of my head, but it should definitely be added to this mix! This is a lot of fun and a great idea...Good for laughs if nothing else!

the song is Devil Went Down to Georgia by The Charlie Daniels Band.

Excellent suggestion, but just a little to country and not enough bluegrass for me. - DV

How about trying the Byrds version of Pretty Boy Floyd, brother? You can't help but scream YEE-HAW! when that song starts up. Oh and that song I'll Fly Away is like a drug to me. I get all like giddy when I hear it and I'm always going back for more more more.

Wow, another great mix. Want to trade? I've got to hear Dueling Tubas. :)
Heh, I just put Waylon's "Good ol' boys" theme on a tape, too.
