Pretty Good 80's Mix - Some You've Heard of Too Much (Phil Collins, REO Speedwagon), and others not enough (The The, The Brains, Roxy Music)

Hello, fellow '80s compiler -- you're right about my not having heard enough of the Brains...in fact, I've never heard anything by them. But I'm always psyched to get a new recommendation. That's the goal of my '80s mix CD series, after all -- to hear songs and bands I didn't hear as much back when they were contemporary. I also like the "Back to the Future" overture inclusion.

I LOVE the Back to the Future Overture!! I was in love with that in grade school, hehe. Flock of Seagulls is a good pick too. Yah, people rarely ever know who The The is!

Cool! Good balance of new romantic stuff and more popular AOR songs. Duran Duran's Lonely was a sublime choice.

"Back to the Future" is hands-down the greatest musical composition of all time. I may be a bit biased as the film is my favorite, however, but still, including it and as the introductory track (instrumentally setting up the whole '80s atmosphere) has earned you my highest respect. Extra props for Speedwagon :)
