Comment:
A friend loves those Buddha Bar albums (despite their exorbitant cost and filler tendencies) and I always thought I could do beddha, so here it is.As a side note, when you put stuff together like this in digital audio you realise how much modern tracks are being compressed these days (a recent topic of discussion on the microsound & phonography lists,) especially in the big guitar & dance idioms. Anyway, I had to apply my own compression to some of these tracks to give them a fighting chance amongst their neighbours.
Feedback:
hmmm...nice job Mr. Smith; I actually know 5 tracks here ( ! )
...could've included the Who's 'You'd Beddha, You'd Buddha, You'd Bet'
Beddha Buddha bought a bit of bitter butter...

Delicious! (I'd feel a lot Beddha if this was to show up in my postal vector.) Outstanding.
Wonderful Gary. Especially fond of the Hassan Hakmoun track.
Aah, yalla, yalla yalla, yalla yalla! Outstanding.
Now that I can post comments once again, I can tell you how much I would love to hear this. Great cover (as ever), Great tunes (once again). Nicely done, Gary

This is a great mix - and the cover is nothing short of bluetiful.
...and b/t/w - that Big Guitar article is fantastic. I have very minimal audio manipulation experience (i.e. I burn mixes onto CD and record them onto tapes - I'm better at the latter b/c I've been doing it since I was about 7 years old) - but even a novice like myself could clearly see the issue.
very cool
