This is a beautiful addition to the series - in some ways, it may be the best. The theme, which is as timely as it ever was, is always moving. Supreme picks by Leadbelly, Carter Family, Woody G., John Hurt, and so many more. I hope to hear this soon - it looks fantastic. Really great collection. Shoegazers can kiss my butt - this is the real depression music.
Devastatingly beautifully.
Great.
Stunning. Great pick followed by great pick followed by great pick. Just amazing.
Absolutely incredible. Sonny Boy Williamson. Wow.
Great - appreciate the history.
Stunning.
Ahhh, beautiful. I love Woody Guthrie, amongst many others here. Very, very nice.
impressing...
This is just beautiful. Great picks, great liner notes.
Another beautifully crafted installment in one of the best series on the site. Perfectly enhanced with notes by someone who clearly takes the genre and his "art of the mix" seriously. A tip o' the helmet Franklin. (It is indeed "as timely as ever." Alas.)
keep thinking, stay peaceful!
ole hippy.....
