Because sometimes you just want to rock out and not have to think about anything...and because the Ramones rule.

When I first read the title I thought it was gonna be the new pop "punk" the kids are listening to these days. Thank god for the 90s. Ever heard of Lookout records? ;)And the ramones indeed rule, but where are they on this mix? Fanriffic stuff here.

Just 'cuz it's not Sum 41, New Found Glory, and Good Charlotte doesn't mean these aren't pop-"punk" songs. The Ramones by nature were pretty poppy, and their influences, as catalogued here, followed suit dutifully. Great mix, by the way. "(She's My) Vampire Girl" is the best Ghoulies song, and "Cool Kids" is awesome. Since you were kind of referencing The Ramones, though, I would've advised some tracks from Screeching Weasel's tribute album, especially the original cuts they included at the end that just SOUND exactly like covers of nonexistent Ramones songs. Nonetheless, bravo :)
