...started thinin' 'bout this a year & a half ago when a friend gave me the
soundtrack to Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? for my birthday. After
several enjoyable listens, the Stones' & Wilburys' tunes kept running
through my mind.but I couldn't come up with the rest, so the idea sat
dormant (sort of a slow simmer on my mind's back burner). Then, earlier
this year, the Stripes' "Ball & Biscuit" jump-started the whole
dern thang all o-fer again.
A mixture of Folk/Folk-Rock/Faux Folk/Country (love
that 'Poor House' line: "if I drove a Pulp-Wood truck...") &
Blues.(with a subtle sin vs. salvation theme woven throughout).

(ha ha...I won Planet Waves on a Jersey boardwalk roulette wheel
twenty-nine years ago, [fo' twenty-five cent].and this is the 1st I've
ever played it !)

Cool! This mix does not blow, although it is a surprise to see a folk mix with your name attached to it. Is this really your mix or is AOTM still having problems? ;)

...that particular song is interesting: from what I can gather a [grown]
child singing softly to their mother about their most recent, and, sadly, successful, attempt
at suicide.

Folk Me! A windy wind up...?Nope, looks like the real thang from here.In light of your previous track recommendation to me, you could've included the B-52's Folk Labster :~)

I'll give you this Gary, you're a quick folking wit...

(...he was out running with his friend, William, and, seeing the sharp rise in the road ahead, said "what say we run over that Hill, Billy ?" )
