A lot of the usual suspects here, but whaddayawant, these are all great bands and/or records... I defied the rules and put two Manitoba tracks, because you wouldn't imagine they were created by the same person: one is all-out psychedelia, the other is pastoral IDM.Each side has its own title, lifted from the lyrics:- side A = if Mary dropped a baby girl tonight, I would name her rock'n'roll (track 2)- side B = I've got the Midas touch, everything I touch turns to gold (track 6)This is for listening to in the car, although one copy might reach a dear friend. The Beth Orton track highlights the fact that I'm going to a solo acoustic gig of hers with my girl on September 10. The title is from the Boom Bip instrumental track, quite obviously (it sounds rather like Boards of Canada, interestingly).
