Comment:
This CD is more of a compilation rather than a mix. Specifically requested by a friend as part of a trade, I only had to decide what few songs to leave off so that two cds of music would fit on to one.As I understand it, Junior's brand of guitar-driven trance-like Mississippi blues is less from the delta than it is from the state's northern hills.
The remains of his second and final juke joint are shown on the cover. The 130 year-old building was located in Chulahoma, Mississippi and, according to one related website, was a general store, horse stable, and possibly a church prior to Junior taking it over in the early 90's. Following his death from a heart attack in 1998, the juke joint was destroyed by arson.
After a couple of false starts in listening to the tunes to decide what I wanted to use, I found that sitting under a cool ceiling fan while slurping my second beer was an excellent setting for the music. Probably even better would have been to have ten couples bumping and grinding away on the deck while the music pulsed through the outdoor speakers.

Feedback:
A brilliant mix of a criminally underrated artist
Junior gets his due! Best played on hot nights with plenty of cold beer at hand.
I'll take Mr Onn's recommendation with this one :~)
Steve -- I have been listening to this one a lot recently. I love it, needless to say. "Meet Me in the City" is awesome. So is "Most Things Haven't Worked Out" (which also sports a great title).
I like to close my eyes and imagine listening to this in a juke joint. Oh yeah... good stuff.

Steve - Happy Holidays.
This is the best mix I listened to in a long time!
