Comment:

Actually the full title is: Hey my brother, can I borrow a copy of your "Hey Soul Classics"? No, my brother, you have to go buy your own. I thought this website might need a good soul mix to shake things up. I can't believe Isaac Hayes' version of A Brand New me isn't on a mix yet, that cut is pure soul. All around this is perfect, down to the last note. And a note to the listeners you could substitute He Needs Me by Shelley Duvall if you'd like. That cut is killer, but it doesn't really make it on a soul disc. Or does it? And for you TV Geeks, Big Maybelle's Candy is the song Clair sings on the Cosby Show after coming back from the recording studio which Stevie Wonder was in. Jammin On the One! And if you don't know the title is from Say Anything, one of the best films ever!

As happens so much on this site, I know almost every artist on the mix and only one of the versions (Candy)! Love R&B, and soul. Love most of these artists. Assume this is the shit!
