Comment:
One of my first CDs where I used restraint and didn't throw in Willie Nelson's "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain" , Calla's "Fear of Fireflies" and a song by Halley. My fiance accused me of coming close to a rut, so I stubbornly refused to put them on even though I am not tired of listening to them. I did include my new "on every CD I make" song, the Pastels "Nothing to Be Done". What an awesome song! Reminds me of high school, but cooler than all the cheeseballs I went to high school with!Feedback:
I love love love: that NMH song, that Gentle Waves song, and that beulah song! (I gotta get me some spoon...)
How nice to get a positive comment! The songs you mentioned are beautiful, gorgeous songs. I resisted listening to NMH for a long time (amazon can be so pesky with their recommendations, you know), but I just love them now. Not everyone loves the Gentle Waves, but that song sounds so 60-ish. I think my friend will like it, no matter what. This is like an intro to indie for him. Thanks again for the comment.
yayayay. this is so fabulous. very very beautiful, i agree. esp the shins. you can't beat that song.
sweet stuff! love the pastels, gentle waves, death cab and the song from the mcdonald's commercial.
this is really good. what's the song from the mcdonalds ad? (i'm in australia so i wouldn't have a clue!)
