Comment:
After strong recent entries in this zany field from Ion and Thomas Mohr (great work on both -- copies please), I felt it necessary to replant the flag. So here's more from my believe me inexhaustible supply of Beatles covers. This one's nicely mixed up with rockers, power poppers, a capella, stone soul, surf, blues and avant garde jazz. Not to mention the good Father. Fair warning -- planned future volumes will move on to themed mixes; things could get hairy.Feedback:
It's hairy already in here! Okay Eric, you're the Guiness Book world's greatest Beatle-recoverer -- was there ever any doubt? This has got lots of versions I've never heard, and some I'm replaying in my head right now -- a fine mix-up.
Very, very fine work. Well orchestrated and executed. Love that bobs track.
Looks like another winner Eric. As the proud owner of the first Northern Songs, I feel I gotta get my hands on this classic as well -- if only for the Father Guido Sarducci medley!
Excellent work (though you culled one from my list for a 2nd vol. of JPG&R covers). I'd love a copy of this, too. Sorry for the massive delay in answering your e'. Promise I'll do so within the next few days, okay?
Salute! (Also, despite the overusage of the statement, I shall "ditto Ion", word-for-word.)
lots of stuff I haven't heard but I totally love you mixed genre mixes. they accompany me in the car wherever I go.
Good work ! Yeah, damn fine.
a damn fine job.
Looks even groovier than the first volume, if that's possible. Just the Reverand Al alone puts this one over the top. Looking forward to an all Brazilian or instrumental fabs mix someday.
Nice. What lo-fi said, at least initially... someday, perhaps, we'll trade for this.
Yow! Favorites here include the Jam, Pickett, Al Green and Takahashi picks. Great stuff.
Hey, very cool of you to put me in the mix.
