Comment:
A mix celebrating this lovely part of the world I have come to live in. Many of these are old favourites that have taken on new meaning since I moved to England. For instance, I stayed in South Kensington on my first trip to London; I sang "Down in the Tube Station..." in a tube station at midnight; and there's a Baker Street not far from my house. Others mark memorable events. "Fair Play" popped into my head when I was on the train to London, looking out over the beautiful countryside. I've had this mix in the planning stages for almost a year now, but I decided to finally make it after my recent trip to Minnesota, when I realised that I am now quite torn between these two places, and I'm not sure which is home. Title taken from "Jerusalem," which I am sorry I could not include. I also could not include Nick Drake's "Saturday Sun" and Led Zeppelin's "Rain Song." I cut Oasis and Clifford T. Ward's "Home Thoughts From Abroad" due to lack of space.Feedback:
Very nice mix. I love that Divine Comedy song.
I absolutely adore all of this!! I love that Divine Comedy tune too.;)

Look great to me.....I esp enjoy Kinks, Fairport, Clash, Pulp, Smiths & DUSTY! I really enjoy your Dusty-mixes, It's hard to find her Original Lp's on cd's these days but I'm still lookin for them...I buy Super furry animals new cd some days ago but I don't have the time to listen to it yet...
This looks truly lovely.
Thanks everyone for the nice comments.
any mix that starts with Petula Clark is a winner in my book
Very nice! I just now came across it. You're so lucky to live there!
lovely, jana. it's good to see you're still in england - are you there for much longer?
Bravo.
This is a very cool mix. Love the Donovan and XTC tracks. And it's been a while since you made this-- hope you're enjoying England-- Whatta choice you had to make-- Minnesota is still, well, Minnesota. It misses you, I'm certain. :-)
Great job. As a former Minnesotan (still a Midwesterner, however), I hope to get to the UK sometime. My Anglophilia grows every year.
