Comment:
This mix is the theme mix for an angsty, German-engineered robot, a modern Frankenstein. It begins with his angry resolve to take on the world, becomes depressed with the human world and his failure in it, and finally embraces his identity before he recognizes that he will always be an outsider.Feedback:
At The Heart Of It All, beautiful.
I'm such a dork, I made sure that song was precisely at the heart of the mix. The whole robot story was kind of made up as a way for my friends to think about it. When I made it, my intention was to make a mix themed by my fascination with robots and Germany. And mood-wise, it would start like a brutal assault, not on the listener, but by the listener on someone or something else. That kind of fantasy sucks you out of the world and into the mix. High energy, then winding down into a deep depression, and slowly lifting out, building to a celebration with "Electric Head," which makes me think of zombie cheerleaders, then lightening up a bit, and returning you to the normal world, like the right song playing as you leave the theater. Yes, I worked way too hard on this mix.
This mix sounds like it would be great... I have been stuck on Electric Head lately as it is! I'm gonna make it tonight and give it a listen!
