Awesome 'Melt With You' would have to be on my list if I were to partake in my guilty pleasure of making lists.

This is amazing...I'm sad to say, though, that I've never even heard your #1.

September Girls number one - wow...yeah most of your choices I think are good..but I never thought Big Star would make it number one. Still, it is a great song. Enjoyed sifting through the series.

amazingly good beatles choice, and hard to argue with the elvis (okay, how bout 'peace, love & understanding'?) you want quibbles? for raspberries i'd take 'overnite sensation', for badfinger it's hard to beat 'come and get it' and there's any number of clash tunes i'd prefer. the kinks - 'lola' all the way! ramones - 'i wanna be sedated' is the ultimate statement. and not to say i don't like 'em, but ranked too high for my taste: modern english, sebadoh, joe jackson, the cure and esp. the knack - great tune, but come on! but the whole point is to be idiosyncratic, right? point taken.

Yeah, great stuff. I'm *really* with you on that Big Star track (potentially my favorite pop song of all-time), the Badfinger track, the Sloan track, the Byrds track and the Cheap Trick track.

Great job. Other than the Cure and Joe Jackson, I really like (or love) everything else listed.
