Comment:
Don't ask me what the hell I was thinking when I put these tracks together. It's broken up into little mini-sets: some garage, some surf, some trash, some kookiness, all rock and/or roll. In my mind, it all makes sense. Recently, I started dj-ing at a nearby bowling alley and this represents some fave plays from my last show. Fun stuff, to be sure. I like to think of this as music they might have played as the Titanic sunk. And by the way, a very happy "Talk like a Pirate" day to you all. I just saw this great movie - it's rated ARRRRRRRRRRR.....Feedback:
Wow! DJing at a bowling alley. Does life really get much better than that? No, really, I'm serious...
Looks like you rolled a strike, Sean. I might even take up the sport if my local pin hall was spinning tunes like these. XXXXXXX-cellent!
Looks great to me.
dj-ing at a bowling alley...!? That would be , like, my dream job. I would actually pay someone to let me do that. This is totally rockin' my friend, all great stuff. Soon, very soon, I will be sending you some tapes.
Awesome title! haha
Well, shiver me timbers! Next thing you know, you'll be dedicating this mix to Roberto Clemente! Couldn't help but laugh at the idea of "The Ottoman Empire" and "Love Child" in the same breath...Great, great stuff, as always...
This mix looks like a killer Sean! So many cool choices, Great stuff all over, keep dancin!
Nice to see Caesars!
Nice to see Caesars!
I think I'd wet myself if I ever heard the Kaisers or the Mummies at a bowling alley. Spectacular stuff!
Neat.
Just goes to show that the gutter can be a great place to be at a Bowling Alley..! Roll on Sean!!!
must be a progressive bowling alley - the only thing i ever hear at a bowling alley is rap and watered down r&b (not that there's anything wrong with that) great mix
And I completely forgot to thank the mighty Franklin Onn for hooking me up with Jerry Allison - boss track!
Awww, the omniscient v-man copped my gutter line. And you're welcome Sean. I think "Real Wild Child" has to be one of the greatest lesser known rock 'n' roll songs ever.... right up there with "Black Slacks". Excellent work again. Keep 'em rollin'!!
Yeah, yeah, yeah !Just purchased brand new Holly Golightly album and loving it. Great mix Sean - makes perfect sense in a bowling alley.
superb stuff , Sean. Love everything I know of here, especially the Caesars, thee headcoatees and Los Straitjackets. The quality of your mixes remains brilliantly consistent, my friend. keep 'em comin'
when are you gonna take this near-skinhead bowling? i'll be frugging so frugging much i'll throw gutter balls all nite. boss!
oddly enough, I was at a church bazzare today and found a vinyl copy of Billy Golembiewski's How to Bowl Better album.
Detacheable Penis is the King Missile cut that I know of..
wild mix!
wild mix!
SEAN!!! This is so great. Man, I'd love to say something specific, but I don't know where to begin. Well done. Well fucking done.
Very cool Sean. If they played stuff like this at the local alleys I would consider picking up a ball again.
How much fun can a person? Listening to this AND bowling???
Oh wow.
Great to have gotten this one too! Many perfect songs for a party! thanks!
