I spontaneously made this mix about 10 minutes before I left on a five-week, 15,000 km roadtrip to the West coast by myself. I always listened to this mix at my favourite time of day -- dusk, when the sun has set below the horizon but the sky is still bright as day, leaving the rest of the world in black silhouette against it. The hyponotic electronica set my mind to think deeply, and the moods of the songs helped direct those thoughts. The mix starts mysteriously with Insects, energetically segues into Labyrinth, then mellows out into the more positive next few tracks in a very worldly ambience (as is best done by Deep Forest).... the mix ends with the lengthy and extremely hypnotic piano piece Inception... this mix is best followed up with a few hours of silent driving to reflect upon what has been learned......
