the unexpected second installment of my mix of my dad's old singles. only this time, i obviously ventured outside the confines of his "punk/new wave" section. i'm shocked to be listening to the beatles, and if you knew me, you'd be shocked too, but some of their songs are undeniably good. i like how i placed the incredible live patti smith cover of "my generation" after the laughable bootsy track, don't you? might have turned out that way because this is almost the exact order in which i pulled them off the shelf. i also like the melancholy turn the mix takes at the end.
