Comment:

The tape is named after an educational slide presentation produced in 1978. It's deliciously cheezy. Audio bits (almost the entire recording actually) were placed between tracks of the mix and helped inspire song selection. Most of the tracks are about delusion, deception, isolation, ill will, and escape. One song is about chocolate.
"Everybody Wants Something" is a cover of the classic tune by the Zits, of Degrassi Junior High fame. Of course, listening to the song has me itching to see some of the early episodes of that fine, fine show (especially the Zit episodes). So if anyone can hook me up or if anyone knows what happened to Joey Jeremiah, please contact me.
Another point: Elvis Costello's "Welcome to the Working Week", is there a more blissful minute and 22 seconds in popular music? Discuss below.

A more blissful 1:22 would be VERY hard to come by. Although Snuff did a pretty damn good cover, as did my friend's band eww ... you're a girl and girls suck (they were also Degrassi fetishists and covered that theme song shit)

Joey Jeremiah was last seen in a car commercial in Canada. His head is shaved and he's is upstaged by a dog. The music is "Who Let the Dogs Out?" Ugh.

What an incredible mix! I don't know how I missed it before. Absolutely splendid. More Joey Jeremiah updates (by another DH addict) - he's getting married in like 2 weeks. No kidding! He was on a local radio show here in Toronto earlier this week with his wife-to-be. He's doing an episode or two of this new Degrassi show I believe... and that's all I know.

The Zit Remedy rocks Riverdale: Story at 11! Kevin Smith is going to be playing Caitlin's "cool West Coast film making boyfriend."
