Comment:

this 2 cd mix was made this past summer for my friend alexis (blurtheselines is her name on art of the mix). we have a mix trading club and i went all out for this volume. i had just read 1984 and figured a soundtrack to this sort of utopian/dystopian setting was in order. i payed careful attention to the flow of the mood of these songs so that it almost creates its own sort of narrative involving 3 parts or movements: I) [unnoticed] naivity II) [slow] realization III) [attempted] escape/transcendence... disc 1 is the first 15 songs and disc 2 is the last 15 songs. some of the highlights are certainly the pigface song to end disc 1, and the uncertain ending provided by the instrumental gallo track, the mogwai track, and the tristeza track. a mix of epic proportions!!! haha... of course radiohead is on here a lot (i mean come on 2+2=5 is a direct 1984 reference!). there is definitely a work theme going on towards the beginning... oh the oppressed drones of this imaginary world! ok, ill stop now.

well executed and great track selections. i'm surprised that no one has commented on this one. actually no i'm not...seems every mix on here lately either consists of the same indie/emo bands or is shite. good work!

ryan, this mix is OFF DA CHAINZ. i love the joy divizzle and sdre a lot. the day i recieved this was the same day we broke into an abandoned house that belonged to a friend and got drunk and dudes had boner races. that was interesting. and scarring, also.
