Comment:
A few months back I posted a pair of Brian Eno mixes, one devoted to his upbeat rockers and one comprised of his mellow, ambient tracks (vocal & instrumental). This one makes it a trilogy of sorts. This time around, I've assembled a blend of his collaborative works, his work as a producer (and frequently contributor), as well as a handful of Eno covers. Makes for an interesting, well-rounded mix highlighting the unique musical genius of this "non-musician" (as he calls himself).
Feedback:
Genius.
Nice mix! But the sight of so many Eno's on the cover sort of scares me...
Something that scares me are that book he wrote about his life, esp the bit when he was bored and wonder how he's piss taste, but he's a great "musician"
Fantastic.
great work, great mix, and I'd love all three if you're up for a trade sometime
nothing from No New York ?
Hey, this is a great idea, and wow, I never knew there was a cover of Big Day in existence.
Gerard: Any time, I'll e-mail you. P, I don't have the NNY comp (though what I really would have like would have been Eno's Television demos, which I was disappointed weren't included on the recent Television reissues). Spacelab: Yeah, "Big Day" is a great song; Yung Wu (Feelies spin-off) are out of print, but I ordered a home-pressed copy of their sole cd from Twintone.com.
Some neat stuff, Marc. (Sorry I still haven't gotten back to your e-mail, but I will when I have the chance to review your stuff.) Congrats for picking one of the only U2 songs that doesn't make me want to puke.
