I never would have thought of putting Air on a mix like this - very cool. Thumbs up on the Ronald Shannon Jackson. I've been tracking my Cecil Taylor and Ornette Coleman discs to make best of soon. Although you scared me with that Geri Allen opener - yeesh!

For those keeping score, this is Henry Threadgill's Air, not the French electro-group.

Make no mistake; I, having muchless knowledge, previously stated as (with or without the song by the indefatigable Mr. Elvis Costello in mind) being less than zero of the aforementioned tracks comprising this mixological feast offered here for the aural consumption of the collected community members (and guests) of this esteemed Internet based site (known to the rank & file, fondly, asAotM) than my knowledgeable (in fact all-knowing by certain accounts both documented and by way of word-of-mouth, scribed by sages throughout the short, brief history of said web site) colleague of a particular Hertellian nature will venture to proffer approximately the same, heartfelt, verbiage as did he on the mix of yours, dear Curtis, that directly preceded this (by name, Tensile) the one that I now target with my own humble feedback.

Due to my own grossly shortsighted un-preparedness and also to a lack of meandering the aisles of countless emporiums which purvey obscure and relatively unheard of audio based artesians, I also find myself with a lack of cranial wisdom sufficient to pen a witty response to the collection that now graces the web page which you, the reader, now lovingly gaze upon. I therefore, bereft of a solidly substantial statement of real-time experience based disclosure of any real weight, must rely upon the baffling logic of unabashed bullshit as a thinly veiled smokescreen covering my admission that I, in all honesty, haven't the foggiest clue (althoughsome of the artist's names are known to me; sadly their compositions are not) as to the musical comings and goings of this your latest agglomeration of raucous racket.

.but it does, shall we say, good sir, look rather cool

I stand corrected. Bemused, but corrected. I'll ditto the g.a.b.'ian one verbatim.

Well, I think Mr. g.a.b. and the esteemed valis nailed it there. What I do know, is that I'm quite certain that this sounds fantastic.
