Comment:
Not a masterpiece or anything, due to my relatively small blues collection. Although I used to own various things by Charley Patton, Blind Lemon Jefferson, The Rev. Gary Davis, and John Lee Hooker (plus a few other blues giants that I might be forgetting), I apparently forgot to CDR their material before selling them off, much to my chagrin. At any rate, I suppose you could say that this mix was "inspired" by the PBS blues documentary that was airing last week, at least to the extent that Jen was asking me questions about some of these guys and it rekindled my interest in them. I admit that it's entirely possible that several of my selections were influenced by the fact that bands like the White Stripes, Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin covered the songs.Feedback:
great delta blues mix ...
maybe small, but mighty satisfyin' (as the deacon's daughter said . . .)

Hey, this is pretty kool Rob. I also saw the PBS special that aired last week. You should check out my latest post called "Gems And Jams". I think it's up your ally =)
Great collection! Save me a copy, Blind Robert.
Good work! This would be the collection of blues songs I'd listen to, if I were to listen to a collection of blues songs...
this is a really good collection. None of the really over played songs and a few of the more obscure ones. I'd love a copy...some day.
Excellents picks, Rob. Your blues collection may well be small but it is also perfectly formed.
I have everything on this mix, Rob. a great collection. Love 'em all!
Excellent mix young man, a couple of my favourites here, esp 'it hurts me too'. Its a shame you did'nt copy the rev Gary Davis tho, he's another fave of mine.
