Comment:
Created with asssistance from Michelle who knows folk/country much better than I do. Thanks also to Adam Bristor for the Rayn Adams track & Rob Conroy for supplying the Louvins & Gram tracks. Title comes from the Freakwater song.
Feedback:
Whoah. This is absolutely awesome. Every single song on here is top of the line. Every single one. Link Wray, Chuck E., Waits...man, just amazing. And that Gram song is flat-out heart-breaking.
There's nothing wrong on that! To start with Dylan's Moonshiner is great! Everytime someone says that Dylan can not sing, just play them Moonshiner and it will change their mind. Great mix and great title, too.
great tunes, Jim. I echo exactly what Billy Budd says about Moonshiner, one of my very favourite Dylan tunes, with an achingly good vocal.
Leadbelly & Link Wray, Hot Tuna & John Hartford - what an inspired mix-up. Evidently you & Michelle play well together!
Really, really great stuff on here, Jim. I especially like the ending stretch from Gram Parsons to Ryan Adams.
Very nice. Gram Parsons remains punk as fuck.
