Comment:
For the Frankenstein mix project:1. From the last CD purchased, Rock en Espa±ol is doing interesting stuff
2. Funny, from a kids rock CD compilation
3. Song discovered from a movie (Something Wild) in memory of Celia Cruz
4. Make it funky, from the Red, Hot & Riot Aids benefit album focused on Fela Kuti
5. Romantic; still a favorite slow dance tune
6. Like this song, don't really like much else of theirs
7. Morning get up song; actually used this in college which drove my roomie crazy (I wore headphones, but couldn't help singing along - sorry Jerry)
8. Reminds me of elementary school dances (could've put on the medley that Springsteen covered, but I've used that before & wanted to dig a little deeper)
9. One of the earliest songs I can remember (first heard it on the tv show back in the early 60's.then came The Prisoner!)
10. From the Casino Royale soundtrack .Look in the title
11. Favorite Elvis
12. Love the Monkees & grew up watching the show, but a little embarrassed (but not too much)
13. Blasters cover a traditional gospel tune (Dead also covered)
14. Jerry, RIP. Great lyrics from Robert Hunter. Heard a couple amazing performances of this one
15. Blues of a sort. The Bob refers to Bob Dylan, in case the wordplay didn't give it away
16. Even though it is a sad song it is so bouncy that I always feel good when I hear it. Real fun live (if you ever get a chance to see Patti go!)
17. A nice rainy day song. Probably don't think of King Crimson so mellow
18. An approximation of a lullaby, but you could easily be lulled to sleep by this.
19. My favorite band & a song I listened to a lot at night going to bed.
20. Ran out of time for another!
Mix title is from "Diner"
Feedback:
Good mix! Like your Monkees, Springsteen and Dead picks. Glad to see you like Diner too, thats one of my favorite movies. "You never ask me what's on the flip side!"
Great mix!
Tres bien!
Nice addition to the Frankenchise.
