Comment:
Does this all flow together? No...well in some places, but thats just by luck. Let's take a look at some of these choices. #1-Last CD I bought, "In Between Now and Then" by O.A.R., this is one of the best on the CD; #2-The Association was one of the best bands of the 60's I think...plus I'm on an Association kick right now. Awesome song; #3-If this song doesn't get your blood pumping, you're probably dead; #4-This is romantic at the same time as being an amazing song, not gooey and annoying...plus Avalon rules; #5-I grew up listening to the Stranglers in my dad's car on the way to nursery school...he's a great influence; #6-From Saturday Night Fever, amazing movie, pretty decent song. The disco gets overwhelming; #7-My favorite band since 8th grade, seen them many times. Best ska band out there; #9-Cool, soft song. Definitely relaxing; #10-Funny as hell, and a great song; #11-Great ska cover of an amazing classic; #12-This song is one of the defining songs of 6th grade for me (I'm only a junior in HS, so it was tough to look for nostalgiac school days songs). This ranks right up there with Real World by Matchbox 20, Closing Time by Semisonic and Slide by the Goo Goo Dolls in 6th grade nostalgia; #13-Yes, I do like Sugar Ray, very funny (more 6th grade nostalgia); #14-Awesome, so many good funk songs out there; #15-Pretty good rainy day song ("Rain storm, brainstorm..."), cheerful, but also a bit of a dreary feeling to it; #16-Such a good summer song, always puts me in a good mood; #17-One of the Hollies best songs, and has "Look" in the title; #18-RIP Warren Zevon. Great song, and also a touch of irony (Poor Poor Pitiful Him, he's dead); #19-Best Elvis song; #20-This song is so so so catchy, and it's been stuck in my head for a couple days. So there's the random track...CD title comes from the movie "Risky Business", my favorite movie of all time.Feedback:
