Comment:

I generally prefer themed mixes, ones that have a point and a consistency, but this is just a compilation, albeit one carefully selected, of songs that I have been listening to quite a bit recently. There are going to be 2 additional October-based mixes that follow this one, as I have no aptitude whatsoever for editing. I also frown upon the repetition of songs from mix to mix, since it makes me seem unoriginal and narrow-minded, yet since I made that set for my girlfriend Luibe last month, there were a number of tracks from it that I couldn't get enough of and felt would be appropriately placed amongst this mostly new batch. So I apologize for that. Again, there's no exact idea here, just excellent music the repeated hearing of which I have been craving these days. My favorites are "(I've Got a) Golden Ticket" (such an infectious, quintessential happy song), Lenny Kravitz (one of the sheer coolest songs of all time, and I don't even really like his stuff), The Chi-Lites (it was part of a romantic moment with me and Luibe the other morning), Jewel (not normally a fan of hers, either, but it's gotta a madly catchy chorus), and Unwritten Law. Good times! :)

Oops, I missed this one. Good mix, especially wiht that Buckingham song, I only remember that from National Lampoon's Vacation. Great song though. Good stuff from Unwritten Law too. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was a great movie. Whoever made it was on a constant acid trip.

I like this mix a lot -- very creative! I really like the Willy Wonka bookend tracks, and Lindsey Buckingham's "Holiday Road," is one of my favorite songs. Great job!!
