After a 1955 World Series loss, the aging Funksters were split up and the rebuilding began. Contenders again in 1964, it took 6 seasons of heart-ache and heartbreak to get back to the pinnacle. In the playoffs every season except for 1968, the Funksters finally put it all together again.
