i made this after about half a dozen of my friends made the trek to NYC for the CMJ music marathon... i was jealous. and maybe i have a crush on a girl i know who went, and i may give this to her... whatever the reason, i like this mix. just a few of the hundreds of artists playing the marathon, and just a few of the dozens i'd love to see if i had the chance. maybe next year.

I found Rocket Summer by accident, but have been moved. Miss not such opportunities, my friend, for 1 day... dammit, you'll be too old + too tied down to do so. Or maybe you'll be in another country where concerts just don't happen, unless you're into goopy K-pop. Out.
yes, it's too bad you can't go, but i can't go either and i'm not complaining, because really--who wants to spend three days with those indie rock fascists who run american college radio, even if it does mean seeing a great band like nada surf?! long sentence.
i went and saw nada surf (along with dc4c)and it was filled with indie rock facists modeled after modern rock icons. i was pushed and nudged and bumped rudely by not only a pseudo billy corgan, but a pseudo guy from dashboard confessional. anyway, your mix rocks. go next year! if it makes you feel any better, im poor now. lol
