For a friend, to introduce him to the Clash. He's way into reggae, so I thought I'd make this with a focus on reggae, ska, and world music. (Unfortunately, that meant leaving out a lot of great songs.)

White Man in Hammersmith Palais is such a good song, it could, theoretically, take the place for 5 good songs that wouldn't fit on the mix. But an all Clash mix is gonna be good no matter what.

hmm my favorite Clash reggae songs are "Crooked Beat" and "Junco Partner".. interesting you left them off there.. nice mix though! I made a tape like this back in college.. the 'reggae' side of the original Black Market Clash is awesome.. they used a different mix of "Kick It Over" for the reissue.. weird.
