Comment:

Discs 3-4 of a 4-cd set; see my comments to the first volume. Personally, I think the first three albums of this era (Wake of the Flood, Mars Hotel, and Blues for Allah) had some of the band's finest studio material, if overall the albums were weaker than, say, Aoxomoxoa and American Beauty. But everything that came later was pretty damn terrible.
