Comment:

-song from the last album you bought. (best song on a great album)
-a "blues" song, not necessarily blues but with the word "blues" in its title. (wanted to use "Fisherman's Blues" but I don't have the CD with me at school for some reason...but this is a good song nevertheless)
-a song that gets you going in the morning. (great lyrics, great horns, great song...and I always listen to it before my 8am's four days a week)
-a song you think is romantic. (one of the most beautiful songs out there)
-a song from one of the first albums you remember listening to. (my neighbor used to play the Beach Boys while driving me and her daughter to baseball all the time when i was little)
-a song you discovered from a movie. (great song that plays a somewhat prominent role in Magnolia)
-a song by your favorite artist. (Radiohead may be too obvious a pick..but they're still great and so is this song)
-a song you like by a band you otherwise don't like. (every Brit-Pop band has to have one great song in them somewhere)
-a lullaby. (speaks for itself)
-a song you think is funny. (c'mon...a pop-rock cover of a gangsta-rap classic? of course it's funny...and you gotta love the beatles melody at the end)
-a really good cover. (wanted to use "I Won't Back Down" by Johnny Cash, but, again, I didn't have it with me, so I settled for this one)
-a song that reminds you of school days. (well....reminds me of the end of high school and listening to Repeater on the way to track meets)
-a song from an artist you're embarrassed to admit you like. (not because she's not talented, but more because most of my friends find liking her to be up there with liking someone like the Backstreet Boys)
-whatever it is, it's gotta be funky. (just a good funk flavored rock instrumental)
-a song for those quiet, rainy days. (actually reminds me of the quiet snowy days of last winter, but it was pouring out all day in Boston, and I thought it worked well for that too)
-a song that makes you "feelgood" no matter when you hear it. (ummm...well, its Irish folk-punk..how can it not make you feel good.
-a song with the word "look" in its title. (I got sick of looking for something and stuck with this Moby interlude...a good song nonetheless)
-a song from a member of the "dead rockers society." (a classic from Joe Strummer's Clash)
-your favorite Elvis song. (not my favorite Elvis song, but the only one I have, so I really didn't have a choice)
-wildcard..just a song you think is good. (just a great song)

For my sake, total stranger, give the Stereophonics another chance. You know not what you're talking about. Some good picks, though I'm obviously pained about the Stereophonics choice... or rather WHY it was chosen. Out.

This is a nice mix but you imply you don't like britpop (no. 8) but you list Radiohead as your favorite band (no. 7). Is Radiohead, or at least their first few albums)not britpop?

A point I was somewhat expecting someone to make. In my opinion The Bends was Radiohead's last truly Brit-pop album, and even then they were becoming a more experimental band. After that, the way I see it is just because they're from England doesn't make them Brit-pop. Also..I feel the comment is a bit misleading. It's not that I don't like all Brit-pop, and I do like Coldplay and Blur, but there are many bands (Oasis, Travis, Starsailor for instance) that I just have never been able to get into. It's not that I think they're bad bands (there are much worse ones out there), but aside from the occasional song, I just can't get into them.
