The main recipient of this mix is a young white well-off type South Africa native who doesn't know much about American music or the Civil Rights movement for that matter, but does have a decent ear for music. Should be interesting to hear his reaction.
UPDATE: the young white male hated it, but then he likes Nickelback so what can you say?
The young woman who got the next version liked it a lot more!

a rather grisly cover, but it's fact and it's history.

makes me miss the vast selection of South African records i once had access to at that radio station... sigh. do you happen to have that Black and Proud comp. out on Trikont?
