Recently, I'd found myself itching to make somewhat of an 'Alt-Country' compilation using some of my favorite cd's from that genre. [you might've noticed that I left out Rhett Miller's solo cd, because I favor the Old 97's more so.] I like what came of this effort, and I hope you all at AOTM do too. Whoever would like this tape is welcome to a copy. [I only have made one so far, but there could be more on the way, and/or a CD-R version during Thanksgiving.] It seems I am entirely unable to quench my thirst for this highly underrated [at least, I believe it to be!] type of music. Enjoy![And thank you to Adam B., Emily S., Charles B., Katy L., Emilio N., and Vanessa B. for their generous supplementation and inspiration for this mix! You've always been great to me, Abigail, so I hate to say this, but I kinda gotta. This seems rather repetitive. I guess we stick with what we know best, of course, but... Yeah, I couldn't sleep with myself tonight (?) if I didn't say that. Wilco is still cool. Out.

Nice mix. There are so many great bands and artists working the alt-country genre.
This is definitely one of my favorite musical styles. Lots of great stuff in there. I love that final Whiskeytown song.
