the case was wrapped in a sort of doll's bandage made from old dress scraps - i sewed it in the middle of breakfast, which consisted of chamomile tea and pumpkin pie ice cream. cassette and cover decorations included ladybugs, snippets of andy warhol's mao & pistol, two organic magnifying glasses i picked up off st. charles street on a grey day, a bee & flower rose soap label, and a miniature photocopy of a cubist collage. this view of the case tracks the slow growth-progression of the ladybug as it morphs from a bee {unseen} to queen ladybird. the alastair gallbraith song is so dreamy to me, i may have to slip it onto every tape i give away ...
