Here is my Alt-Country compilation, that was inspired by Abigail Dice's awesome mix! This mix gives me a chance to send out my love to Alejandro Escovedo, who last I heard isn't doing so well. With all the talent we have lost this year, it would be such a great shame to lose a man whose music has touched me and so many others so much as well. For anyone who has heard and been touched by his music and his distinct voice mutter a little prayer for him and hope that he will be rocking our world for years to come. (For further listening on Alejandro check out my single artist mix ESCOVEDO dedicated to his solo works). The title and picture comes from one of my favorite all time movies 'Unforgiven'. Enjoy!

This looks like some very good alt-country to me... the songs I know, I love, and the ones I don't I've been meaning to hear.
Great collection of alt-country, thanks! It only took two listens for me to warm up to every track. And it's set up well, it keeps getting better. The last third is better than the middle third is better than the first third. Of the songs I didn't previously know, I really like "Nervous Guy".
